Shadowed
The Daily Posts Weekly Photo Challenge this week is ‘Shadowed’ and for this I am posting an image that actually didn’t quite work out as I had hoped. I had the final image in my mind but the actual result was nothing like it so I’ve held onto it for a bit.
Light and Shadows
I captured the image as a 3 bracketed image (2,-2,+2), but even at that it wasn’t enough to capture enough details in the clouds so ended editing in b&w, which isn’t too bad as it does accentuate the elongated shadows from the trees and helps the act as lead in lines.
In hindsight I shouldn’t have been so lazy and manually shot this considering I was shooting against the sun, I should have known that +2 was never going to cut it but I do get lazy and I’m convinced I even done this hand-held rather than on the tripod as this was at the end of a long walk and more opportunistic rather than planned so that’s what I get lol.

I rather like it, it looks like an etching or a pencil drawing, and it has a certain ethereal quality to it.
