Intricate

Just realised that it has been too long since I have posted so a long overdue post is to The Daily Posts WPC ‘Intricate’ and a quick look at the online dictionary for the true definition ‘having many interrelated parts or facets; entangled or involved’ led to my image of choice below.

Germander Speedwell - Veronica chamaedrys

Germander Speedwell – Veronica chamaedrys

I feel the intricacy of the pistil fits the theme of this weeks challenge well, although in hindsight I maybe should have zoomed right in to see the inner workings of the pistil but not what I had in my mind at the time. After a bit of searching the Flower is a Common dog violet (Viola riviniana), trust me there is no way I would have known that of the top of my noggin!!!

A short post but it feels good to get the posting going again, and I’ve a few more images banked so hopefully it wont be as long till the next post…till the next time!

EDIT: I actually think the flower is a Germander Speedwell (Veronica Chamaedrys)
